We are currently hiring a Contract Full‑time Purpose Integration Specialist to support our London Administration team
. This role is a 1‑year contract.
- Provides senior leadership and business unit leads with climate research and business advice and support to help inform and develop strategy and tactics
- Provides social, environmental and governance technical expertise and guidance to business units to embed best‑practice into their strategies and processes ensuring key stakeholders understand the role their teams play in delivering on Libro’s purpose.
- Advises Libro leadership on emerging climate risks, opportunities, regulation (including guidance from the financial services regulatory of Ontario), trends and best practices to incorporate climate risks and opportunities into strategic and financial decision‑making
- Develops enablement tools such as training and educational materials to support Libro staff and members
- Advises on complex ESG issues, including climate change with department leads to guide them in operationalizing ESG deliverables into their work
- Develops strong rapport and relationships internally and in the community to foster trust, credibility and buy‑in for Libro’s sustainability framework and climate transition plan
- Leverages change management principles and practices to influence internal stakeholders to adopt change
- Coaches people across all levels of the organization to integrate climate deliverables and helps them understand resources required
- Conducts stakeholder engagement for Libro’s draft climate transition plan with internal and external stakeholders
- Recommends and supports the development of operational and financed climate guidelines and policies for approval by Manager or senior leaders
- Supports the development of climate‑related data policies and collection requirements from Owners and other stakeholders
- Develops Environmental Social Governance (ESG) programs in‑line with the requirements of Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) framework and other leading ESG frameworks
- Drives progress on climate goals
- Provides recommendation on climate change metrics and KPI’s to support strategy and track progress against it
- Measures, reports on environmental performance in alignment to goals and recommends action plans to improve
- Identifies and leverages relevant frameworks to track and report climate‑related data, including financed emissions to support decision making, progress reporting and communications
- College or university degree with a focus on Environmental Management, Climate Change or ESG/Sustainability
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in sustainability, ESG or climate change related role
- Knowledge of climate change and the transition to a low carbon economy
- Experience developing emissions reduction targets and tactics for decarbonization
- Strong knowledge of climate and impact frameworks, such as Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), Partnership for Carbon Accounting Financials (PCAF), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), BCorp, UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
- Experience using environmental management systems
- Understanding of carbon accounting
- A background in financial services is an asset
