About Generation Fertility Waterloo
Generation Fertility Waterloo is a patient-centered fertility practice dedicated to compassionate, evidence-based reproductive care. Our multidisciplinary team works closely with patients to guide them through fertility evaluation and treatment with clarity, empathy, and clinical excellence. We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner to support fertility consultations and ultrasound services as part of our growing clinical team.
Position SummaryThe Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work collaboratively with the Medical Director and clinical team to provide comprehensive fertility care. This role includes conducting patient consultations, performing sonohysterograms, supporting early obstetrical patients, low intervention treatment planning, and educating patients throughout their fertility journey. The ideal candidate is clinically skilled, detail-oriented, and deeply committed to patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Practice
- Conduct initial and follow-up fertility consultations under the supervision of the Medical Director
- Perform and interpret pelvic and transvaginal ultrasounds
- Participate in fertility treatment planning, monitoring, and follow-up care
- Educate patients and partners on fertility diagnoses, treatment options, procedures, risks, and expectations
- Document clinical encounters accurately and thoroughly in the medical record
- Provide compassionate, inclusive, trauma-informed care in a sensitive and emotionally complex clinical setting
Collaboration & Teamwork
- Work closely with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, embryology, and administrative staff
- Support smooth clinical workflows and coordinated patient care
Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented clinic culture
Professional Standards & Development
- Practice in accordance with applicable nursing and regulatory standards
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold ethical and professional standards
Stay current with advances in reproductive medicine through continuing education
Required
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Nursing with Nurse Practitioner certification
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in good standing (CNO, NPAO)
- Experience in women’s health, reproductive medicine, fertility, or OB/GYN settings an asset
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
BLS certification (ACLS preferred or willingness to obtain)
Preferred
- Prior experience in fertility clinics or assisted reproductive technology (ART)
- Proficiency or training in performing pelvic and transvaginal ultrasounds
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-detail clinical environment
