Dietary Aide (Full Time)
Salary: $27.66 – $27.86 per hour
We are an integrated team that provides food and nutrition services to patients and residents at all sites of St. Joseph's Health Care London. Our vision is to provide nutritional care that nourishes patients and residents – body, mind and spirit. We support our patients, community and planet driven by menu components that include the patient voice, clinical requirements, budget, operations and sustainability.
This is accomplished through our goals of increasing local purchasing, growing seasonal fresh vegetables on site, composting and decreasing food waste. Departments operate within varying shifts from 6:00 AM to 8:00 PM, seven days a week.

Hours of work reflect current scheduling arrangements and are subject to change as determined by the Employer.
Essential Qualifications- Secondary (High) School Diploma
- Safe Food Handlers certification, or ability to obtain certification within six (6) months of hire
- Knowledge of institutional food service and therapeutic diets
- Knowledge of safe food handling
- Knowledge of a Safety Culture in a Health Care Setting in compliance with the OHSA
- Demonstrated interpersonal, organizational and verbal/written communication skills
- Health and physical condition consistent with constant bending, standing, walking, or lifting up to 28 kg.
- Strong customer service commitment
- Ability to work in a busy environment with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as a team player
- Previous food service experience
- Proficiency in French would be an asset
- St. Joseph's Health Care London, through its affiliation with Western University and Fanshawe College, is a leading research and teaching hospital. As an employee, you will be expected to engage in role‑related teaching and research activities in addition to your clinical duties.
- Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella (chicken‑pox), Hepatitis B, COVID‑19 and influenza.
- Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing.
