The Role

The Role eCommerce & Digital Performance Manager is responsible for driving the commercial performance of the online store by combining strategic trading oversight with end-to-end digital marketing execution. This role aims to achieve revenue, conversion, and customer growth targets by optimizing both onsite experience and external traffic-driving activity. This is a hands-on role that blends analytics, merchandising, marketing, and cross-functional collaboration.

It involves managing the digital trade calendar, executing product launches and promotions, overseeing paid marketing channels, and ensuring the online customer journey is seamless and conversion-focused. The role works closely with buying, planning, creative, and agency partners to deliver a best-in-class eCommerce experience that supports broader brand and business goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day trading of the online store to drive sales, margin, and conversion targets.
  • Keep website content up to date, including product launches, categories, promotions, and visual merchandising.
  • Plan and run digital marketing campaigns across paid search, social, SEO, and affiliate channels.
  • Monitor site performance and customer behavior to improve user experience and conversion.
  • Report on key metrics like sales, traffic, bounce rate, and campaign performance to guide decisions.
  • Work with planning and buying teams to ensure online stock availability and manage inventory levels.
  • Coordinate campaign execution across digital touchpoints, ensuring consistency and timely rollout.
  • Collaborate with UX and dev teams to test and improve site functionality and design.
  • Align with store operations on omnichannel initiatives like Click & Collect and ship-from-store.
  • Manage digital marketing budgets, agency performance, and external partnerships for strong ROI.

  • Strong commercial acumen – Ability to drive sales performance and make data-led trading decisions.
  • Digital marketing expertise – Skilled in managing paid media, SEO, and affiliate marketing.
  • Website merchandising – Knowledge of optimizing product/category layouts and user journeys.
  • Analytical thinking – Comfortable with reporting tools to interpret data and performance metrics.
  • Project & campaign management – Ability to plan and execute seasonal campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Cross-functional collaboration – Experience working with buying, creative, logistics, and retail teams.
