Information Management Consultant (Library/Archives Background) - AI Projects
We're seeking an Information Management Consultant with a background in libraries, archives, or records management to support AI-driven initiatives. This role bridges traditional information stewardship with emerging AI technologies to ensure high-quality, well-governed, and ethically managed data.
What You'll Do:- Design and optimize metadata schemas, taxonomies, and information architectures for AI use cases
- Prepare and curate structured and unstructured content for machine learning and generative AI
- Establish data governance, lifecycle, and documentation standards
- Collaborate with data scientists and technical teams to support AI model development
- Advise on data quality, compliance, intellectual property, and ethical considerations
- MLIS or related graduate degree
- 5+ years in libraries, archives, records management, or information governance
- Expertise in metadata, classification systems, and digital content management
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
- Help shape responsible, high-performing AI systems built on trusted information foundations.
