Technology Specialist in Database Systems

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join Equitable as a Technology Specialist focusing on Database Systems in a hybrid capacity from Waterloo, ON. This role is ideal for those skilled in database design, tuning, and analytics.

As a key member of the IT Infrastructure department, you’ll work closely with the Lead Technology Manager to enhance database operations. With 3+ years of IT experience, you will design solutions that meet organizational needs while ensuring optimal performance of systems like MS SQL Server and Azure SQL. Your proactive approach will help identify improvements that enhance operational integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement database architectures

• Conduct performance tuning and debugging

• Maintain enterprise cloud database platforms

• Monitor technology capacity and performance

• Assist in the documentation of processes and quality systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of IT experience

• Experience with MS SQL Server, SQL MI, and Cosmos DB

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Degree in computer science or related field

• Excellent collaboration and communication abilities
