Position: Lead Site Reliability Manager – Google
Location: Southwestern Ontario

This role enables you to influence the optimal functioning of Google’s large-scale distributed systems. You will be responsible for building a culture of performance while managing and inspiring teams towards excellence. Your knack for algorithms and problem-solving will play a crucial role in minimizing downtime and improving service metrics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a mission-first culture among multiple locations

• Champion strategic initiatives aimed at incident readiness

• Guide new network product design ensuring safety and simplicity

• Work with teams to define and maintain service objectives

• Conduct postmortems and enhance end-to-end repair workflows

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar

• 8+ years in software development; 3+ years in leadership

• Proven experience with distributed systems operations

• Strong skills in coding and algorithms analysis

• Preferred:
Master’s degree or higher in relevant discipline
