Become a key player in IT support at Western University as an IT Support Specialist. Provide exceptional telephone, email, and in-person assistance for various technical needs across the Housing and Ancillary Services division.
This role requires flexibility as you cater to the varying scheduling demands of classes and special events. Collaborate with Network Operations to research, plan, and support technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency. You will engage with diverse users, ensuring their IT needs are met while maintaining high standards of customer service and communication.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality support for audiovisual systems and devices
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently
• Assist in deploying and maintaining technology infrastructure
• Write clear, user-friendly technical documentation
• Train staff on end-user computing solutions
Requirements:
• Undergraduate degree or IT diploma preferred
• 1 year experience in customer service within IT
• Familiarity with AV technology and software
• Exposure to mobile device support and imaging software
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
