Important Clearance RequirementThis role requires Reliability Status Clearance, which includes a law enforcement inquiry, a credit check, and a review of any travel outside Canada for six consecutive months in the past five years. Obtaining clearance within a reasonable amount of time is a condition required to start employment.
Team andRole Overview
The On Site Support (OSS) team is responsible for end‑user computing support across desktop hardware, operating systems, enterprise applications, peripherals, and mobile devices. The team ensures successful delivery of services through measured response and restoration targets, fulfills service requests, change orders, and hardware/operating system upgrades. Problem solving is a key component of this role; the incumbent must identify, diagnose, and implement solutions to achieve complete and proper resolution.
Responsibilities- Deploy Windows 11 laptops and desktops for end users, following predetermined timelines and processes.
- Troubleshoot and provide post‑upgrade support to clients, ensuring they are up and running quickly.
- Provide inventory control and lifecycle asset management for end‑user computing devices, and effectively manage assets in the inventory control system.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills with PC operating systems (specifically Windows 11), including setup, configuration, hardware repair, and device connectivity (TCP/IP, network adapter configuration).
- Working knowledge of enterprise software tools such as MS Office 365.
- Proven customer experience and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory Services and Systems Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) is an asset.
- Ability to multitask, plan, prioritize and achieve goals efficiently.
- A graduation date of December 2026 or later is required.
The base pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. Base pay will vary depending on the campus program selected. Eligible Sun Life employees for campus graduate programs may participate in incentive plans, with payments discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
