Business Systems Analyst at University of Waterloo

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Elevate financial operations at the University of Waterloo as a Business Systems Analyst. This full-time role focuses on People Soft Campus Solutions and enhances critical financial systems for the University.

As a Business Systems Analyst, you will work in Finance reporting to the Director of Financial Systems and Controls. Your primary responsibility will be managing the Student Financials module in People Soft, ensuring compliance and optimal performance. You will analyze requirements, collaborate on software solutions, and enhance financial reporting processes to provide critical information across the University.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain system configuration and financial processes

• Support testing and implementation of software updates

• Execute complex analysis and recommend system improvements

• Manage access security and user permissions

• Document processes and assist with user acceptance testing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or Mathematics

• Minimum 2 years experience with financial systems

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and other office tools

• Exceptional communication and teamwork abilities
