Position: Data Engineering Manager at Kinaxis
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Lead the Data & Observability Platform team at Kinaxis in Ottawa or Toronto with a hybrid work model. Bring your technical leadership to enhance data capabilities and improve analytics performance.

We are seeking a hands-on engineering manager with at least 5 years of data engineering experience.

Your role will focus on optimizing platform frameworks, mentoring engineers, and ensuring reliable data ingestion and observability. Collaborate closely with data architecture and product teams to align efforts with business priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor a team of data platform engineers

• Build a high-performing engineering culture emphasizing automation

• Define objectives and measurable outcomes for the team

• Partner with stakeholders to align platform work with priorities

• Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the organization

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

• 5+ years in data engineering or platform engineering roles

• 3+ years managing technical teams

• Strong expertise in Databricks, GCP, and data modeling

• Proven ability to modernize legacy data platforms
