Position: Indirect Procurement Specialist at PowerCo
Location: St. Thomas

Elevate the future of battery production as an Indirect Procurement Specialist with Power Co in St. Thomas, Ontario. This hybrid position involves strategic negotiations and supplier onboarding to support company growth.

In this role, you will be part of the initial ramp-up team, collaborating closely with key stakeholders including the Senior Manager of Procurement and Volkswagen Group Canada. You will manage procurement processes, ensure effective risk assessments, and serve as a liaison among Power Co, VW Group North America, and Germany. Your contribution is vital as you shape purchasing strategies and optimize supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee procurement of general goods and services

• Manage supplier onboarding activities in purchasing systems

• Source and negotiate single orders and framework contracts

• Evaluate purchasing strategies and present results

• Mentor new hires through the ramp-up phase

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field

• Minimum 3 years in Purchasing and Contract Management

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• Proven experience in strategic procurement presentations

• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
