CompensationAnnual salary: $36,608.00
Qualifications & Experience- Able to read and follow written cleaning and safety standards to complete assigned duties to the quality level established.
- Cleaning experience in a recreational service facility is an asset.
- Basic computer knowledge is an asset.
- WHMIS certified.
- Current and acceptable Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening is a condition of employment for all staff and volunteers.
- All employees and volunteers must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19, unless exempted by a Human Rights Code ground.

40 hours per week. Wednesday–Friday afternoons and Saturday–Sunday dayshift.
Responsibilities- Follow YMCA of Southwestern Ontario policy and procedures.
- Act as a YMCA ambassador, demonstrating YMCA core values in daily work.
- Carry out all cleaning tasks as assigned in members’ space, back‑of‑house spaces and exterior spaces.
- Identify efficient methods and products to be used in routine cleaning tasks to ensure desired results.
- Perform physical duties including lifting weight in excess of 20 pounds (e.g., furniture, access areas that are not cleaned regularly, clutter, garbage removal).
- Consistently work towards meeting and exceeding standards as defined by the YMCA:
Priority S.A.M. evaluation program. - Operate vacuums, floor polishers, and regular use of various chemical cleaning agents.
- Cleaning responsibilities are primarily indoor but may include outdoor seasonal tasks, garbage removal, and grounds‑keeping duties as required.
- Maintain high mobility, circulating throughout the building with little time to rest.
- Spend majority of the job standing.
- Perform any duties assigned by supervisor.
