Environmental Service Worker; Housekeeping Laundry Aide – Long Term Care

As an Environmental Service Worker, your work extends beyond cleaning; you create a welcoming, safe environment where residents feel comfortable and cared for. Every task supports their dignity and quality of life.

• Washed and dried residents’ clothing and linens, ensuring items were returned fresh and in good condition.
• Disinfected and cleaned to support infection control.
• Cleaned residents’ rooms and common areas—including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathrooms.
• Followed WHMIS guidelines and safe handling procedures for all cleaning products.
• Helped maintain a safe environment by adhering to Health & Safety Standards.
• Worked as part of a supportive team, assisting coworkers and covering shifts as needed (days, evenings, weekends, and last‑minute call‑ins).
• Took pride in creating a comfortable, homelike environment for residents every day.

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in housekeeping and laundry (healthcare or hospitality setting an asset).
• Ability to operate commercial laundry and cleaning equipment (washer, dryer, auto‑scrubber, vacuum, etc.).
• Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) check completed within the past 6 months.
• TB 2 Step updated within the last year.
