Temporary Arena Worker St. Thomas

Location: St. Thomas

Support the Parks and Recreation Department as a Temporary Arena Worker in St. Thomas, Ontario. Contribute to ice maintenance, facility repairs, and customer service at Joe Thornton Community Centre.

This part-time role is ideal for candidates looking for temporary work within the recreation field. You will assist the Manager of Recreation Facilities & Programs while maintaining safety and cleanliness in the arenas. Your responsibilities will include daily maintenance, customer interactions, and event setup at the community center and Memorial Arena.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with ice maintenance and facility operations

• Perform cleaning and general maintenance tasks

• Set up and take down for special events

• Ensure safety protocols for facility patrons

• Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities

Requirements:

• Experience in arena or recreation facility work

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Valid “G” Ontario Driver’s Licence required

• Must complete a satisfactory Police Records Check
