Position: Custodian at Oak Ridges Hospice
Become a vital part of Oak Ridges Hospice as a Custodian, focusing on maintaining a clean, compassionate environment for residents and their families. This part-time role requires diligence and physical endurance to ensure comprehensive cleanliness in the facility.

Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, custodians play a crucial role in building upkeep and maintaining hygiene standards. Key responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and maintaining high-touch surfaces with attention to detail. You will also engage in daily and periodic maintenance tasks, ensuring supplies are stocked and safety procedures are followed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Disinfect high-touch surfaces like counters and phones

• Clean and sanitize washrooms and therapeutic spa

• Dust and maintain common areas

• Transfer garbage and recycling to designated areas

• Complete cleaning checklists and maintain safety standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• WHMIS training required

• 3-5 years cleaning in healthcare preferred

• Compassion and respect for residents

• Flexibility in part-time scheduling
