Arena Caretaker

Position: Full-Time and Part-Time Arena Caretaker Roles
Step into an essential role at the Kinistino Sports Complex as an Arena Caretaker for the season from October 2026 to March 2027. This position requires a hands-on approach to maintaining the facility during key events.

We are looking for one full-time and one part-time caretaker to oversee activities including public skating and hockey games. Daily tasks include general janitorial duties, ice installation, and communication with event organizers. Flexibility for evening and weekend shifts is necessary, and you will play a critical role in ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise events and manage facility operations

• Conduct cleaning and janitorial responsibilities thoroughly

• Perform minor building repairs as needed

• Operate the Zamboni and maintain the ice surface

• Schedule practices, games, and communicate effectively with stakeholders

Requirements:

• Must hold a Class 5 driver’s licence

• Pass a Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector Check

• Knowledge of ice maintenance a plus but not required

• First Aid/CPR & AED certification preferred

• Ability to handle physical demands of lifting 50 lbs
