School Cleaner

We're looking for reliable and detail-oriented School Cleaners to help maintain clean, safe, and welcoming school environments.

This is a casual/on-call position
, with assignments available as needed based on operational and staffing requirements. You'll work independently to clean classrooms, common areas, washrooms, and other school facilities while following established cleaning and safety procedures.

• Clean and sanitize classrooms, hallways, offices, staff rooms, gyms, and washrooms
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust assigned areas
• Empty garbage and recycling bins
• Replenish soap, paper towels, tissue, and other hygiene supplies
• Disinfect high-touch surfaces according to health and safety standards
• Maintain clean entrances and common areas
• Follow school safety procedures and cleaning protocols
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors
• Use cleaning equipment and supplies safely and responsibly
• Perform additional custodial duties as assigned

• At least 1 year of cleaning experience required
• Previous janitorial or custodial experience
• Previous experience working in a school or institutional environment
• Legally eligible to work in Canada
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional
• Physically able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks

• Valid Police Clearance Check (required before placement)
• Safety shoes required
• Reliable transportation is considered an asset due to varying work locations and shifts
• Flexible availability for on call assignments
