On behalf of our client,
Grand River Personnel is recruiting a reliable and detail-oriented Transformer Assembler to support transformer build and encapsulation operations in a manufacturing environment.
Pay Rate: $18.25/hr + 4% vacation pay added to each cheque weekly
Shift: Days: 7:00am – 3:30pm Monday – Thursday
Responsibilities- Build transformers according to Manufacturing Documents (job packages, drawings, BOMs, and labour routing)
- Verify correct revision levels on job packages prior to starting work
- Set up workstation once documentation has been verified
- Install insulating barriers (Nomex, tape, copper), brackets, and mounting hardware (washers, screws)
- Perform encapsulation of parts using epoxy or other chemical sealants
- Make electrical connections using soldering, brazing, or crimping techniques
- Verify gauge of steel being used during assembly
- Record material traceability and shelf-life information for sensitive materials (glue, tape, epoxy, solvents)
- Perform quality inspections; identify, prevent, and repair defects as required
- Safely and effectively use hand and air tools (drills, calipers, crimpers, hammers, etc.)
- Maintain consistent quality and productivity levels
- Follow all health & safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Assist in other work cells and special projects as assigned
- Work collaboratively with team members, cell leaders, supervisors, and Manufacturing Engineering
- Ability to read and follow manufacturing documents, drawings, and instructions
- Previous transformer assembly experience is an asset
- Comfortable working with epoxy, sealants, and chemical materials
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Comfortable using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to meet deadlines and maintain productivity standards
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude
- Ability to perform physical work including standing or sitting for full shifts
- CSA Approved Footwear required (not provided)
