Manufacturing Engineer (Contract – 3–4 Months)

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a 3–4 month contract with a leading automotive manufacturing facility in London. This role is responsible for implementing product designs into manufacturing processes in the most efficient and cost-effective way while continuously improving existing processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement product designs into manufacturing processes and support production efficiency.

  • Continuously review and improve existing manufacturing processes.

  • Develop and maintain manufacturing documentation including PFMEA, process flow charts, work instructions, control plans, and feasibility studies.

  • Create and maintain MBOM, BOP, and manufacturing routings in relevant systems.

  • Support the development and installation of manufacturing and packaging equipment.

  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, production, and quality teams during product development.

  • Support implementation of engineering and manufacturing change requests (ECR/MCR).

  • Contribute to new manufacturing technologies and process improvements.

  • Maintain a safety-first culture and support safe work practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or related technical field

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive or advanced manufacturing

  • Experience with LEAN manufacturing and process improvement

  • Knowledge of FMEA, MSA, SPC, and other quality tools

  • Experience with process design, layout creation, and time measurement methods

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Project management experience is an asset
