SALARY: The hourly rate for this role is $20.67 per hour

  • Evening Premium: $0.60

  • Night Premium: $1.00

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrated ability to follow and understand Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and execute work assignments made in Department.
  • Able to work in a safe manner and follow all EH&S safety policies / procedures.
  • Responsible for completing all required quality checks in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ability and willingness to participate in troubleshooting activities as needed
  • Responsible for abiding by London Brewery Rules, Departmental policies and HACCP standards.
  • Responsible for proactively communicating with colleagues and managers on issues affecting the business and safety.
  • Expected to strive for continuous improvement in all job functions and within the department.
  • Expected to proactively assist co-workers to resolve production issues, and to ask for help when necessary.
  • Material handling: transfer/ milling/ weighing of grain and other ingredients, beer transfers, beer process materials
  • Perform tasks in Re-work staging area
  • Participate in VPO initiatives such as SDCA, and work towards improving Department performance through individual ownership.
  • Perform process quality control checks;
  • Execute industrial cleaning and sanitation ie Brewing equipment and vessels
  • Record keeping and organization
  • Quality sampling, testing and record keeping related to the brewing process as required
  • JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Availability for shift work essential (days, afternoons and midnights), overtime, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to meet all physical demands of the job which includes, for example, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, frequent stair climbing, and sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to work in warm, hot, cold, damp environments with required personal protective equipment
  • Demonstrated ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors, both in a team and individually.
  • Exposure to noise and vibrations.
  • Ability to wear all PPE as required: including safety shoes, glasses, bump cap (plastic insert), hearing protection (jewelry must be taken off)
  • Undergoing Post-secondary education for summer work experience
  • Excellent plant discipline & Attendance record.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and use computer-based Labatt systems
