Position: PLANT SANITARIAN

We are currently hiring for Plant Sanitation B shift to join our Operations team at 600 Clarke Road, London ).

This position is on Afternoon B Shift (Monday-Friday, 2:50pm-11:10pm).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing the building according to good manufacturing practices, and health and safety standards
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines

  • Follow directions

  • Record all necessary information as required for the sanitation program

  • Responsible for performing a variety of wet and dry cleaning tasks within the building

  • Perform tasks using various equipment, e.g. sky lift unit, forklift truck and hand truck

  • Maintains a high sanitation level in building

  • Adheres to GMP standards, Health and Safety regulations, and work procedures

  • Adhere to Sanitation Plan Schedules, e.g. Daily, Weekly, etc. frequencies

  • Daily completion of sanitation task paperwork

  • Responsible for all trash removal and recyclable items

  • Other assignments as required

Qualifications required:

  • OSSD diploma or equivalent and successful passing of basic qualification testing.
  • 1-2 years manufacturing experience
  • Plant sanitation experience considered an asset
  • Must be familiar with food plant operations
  • Ability to operate floor cleaning equipment
  • Ability to work at heights up to 30 feet
  • Forklift experience is an asset
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate powered hand trucks and ability to obtain Forklift certification required
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to respond to changing priorities and fluctuating workloads
  • Must be able to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to do heavy physical work (e.g. lifting up to 50lbs)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Available to work other shifts as required
