Position: Extendicare Part Time Practical Nurse
Become a part-time Registered Practical Nurse at Extendicare, providing essential nursing services in a supportive team environment. Focus on patient-centered care and clinical excellence.
As part of Extendicare’s nursing team, you'll work under the DOC or DHW's guidance.

Your role involves managing care assessments and implementing care plans while also coordinating with the nursing staff. You'll be critical in administering treatments and ensuring regulatory compliance for resident care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and document residents' clinical care needs

• Collaborate in developing and evaluating care/service plans

• Administer medications and ensure accurate record-keeping

• Facilitate resident care conferences and meetings

• Provide education to residents and families on care
Requirements:

• Must be registered as a Practical Nurse

• Experience in long-term care is advantageous

• Strong time management and critical thinking skills

• Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certified

• Current VPS screening required
