ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)

Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
BScN preferred.
Current BCLS.
3-5 years experience (within the last 2 years) in Perinatal care (OB triage, labour & delivery skills, intrapartum, post partum), Paediatric & Level II Nursery
Certification and experience within last 2 years in Fetal Health Surveillance and Neonatal Resuscitation.
Completion of Breastfeeding Education Course
IV certification.
Certification in added nursing skills required for caring for Perinatal/Paediatrics patients.
Demonstrated problem solving skills.
Certification in Paediatric advanced life support (PALS) preferred.
Perinatal Education course preferred.
Canadian Nurses Association Perinatal Nursing Certification preferred.
Satisfactory Attendance
Member of RNAO preferred
