Join Age Care as a Registered Practical Nurse, where you will provide high-quality nursing care for residents. This role emphasizes teamwork and effective communication within the healthcare team.
In your capacity as a Registered Practical Nurse, you’ll implement nursing practices and policies in collaboration with Registered Nurses. Your hands-on experience in geriatric care will guide you in addressing resident needs, along with providing direction to Personal Support Workers. You'll work closely with physicians to monitor and report any significant changes in resident conditions during shift reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver professional nursing care to residents
• Oversee Personal Support Workers’ daily tasks
• Collaborate with the healthcare team for optimum care
• Update physicians on resident health changes
• Assist in revising unit policies and procedures
Requirements:
• Valid Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Familiarity with long-term care regulations
• Geriatric nursing background preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to resident-centered care practices
