St. Thomas Elgin ICU Registered Nurse

Location: St. Thomas

Become an integral part of St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital as an ICU Registered Nurse. This role calls for an experienced and dedicated professional to provide exemplary nursing care in a critical patient environment.

As an ICU RN, you'll leverage your skills in assessing, planning, and evaluating patient care. Your ability to establish therapeutic relationships will foster trust with patients and their families. We emphasize the importance of critical thinking and the ability to adapt as priorities shift in our fast-paced ICU.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop care plans tailored to individual patient needs

• Provide high-level nursing care in a critical setting

• Administer medications as ordered, including IVs

• Utilize assessment and planning skills for patient outcomes

• Work varied hours as necessary for departmental needs

Requirements:

• Active Registered Nurse status with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Graduate of a BSc in Nursing or comparable education

• Current BLS Certification and basic computer skills

• One year of ICU experience or critical care certification preferred

• Commitment to ongoing professional education
