Overview
London Health Sciences Centre's Medicine unit seeks a Clinical Nurse to work part‑time within the acute, sub‑acute and palliative care populations of the University Hospital Medicine program. The role is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to patient and family centered care and to upholding LHSC’s high standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessment, plan and implement nursing interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Provide direct nursing care and support to patients and families across the life continuum.
- Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members and family members.
- Adapt care plans and priorities in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
- Maintain patient safety and compliance with LHSC protocols.
- Current Certificate of General Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
- Proof of current BLS for Healthcare Providers (BLS‑HCP(C)).
- Experience in geriatric, palliative, and general acute‑care nursing preferred.
- Demonstrated assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- High‑level initiative and commitment to self‑directed learning.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
- Proficiency with automated clinical systems and computer use.
- Commitment to patient and family centered care, patient and staff safety, and LHSC’s vision and values.
- Regular attendance and reliability.
- Regular part‑time employment.
- Hourly rate: $37.10 – $37.77 per hour.
