Registered Nurse in Post-Surgical Care

Enhance your nursing career with St. Joseph's Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Post-Surgical Care Unit. This regular part-time role encompasses various shifts, focusing on patients recovering from surgeries.

As part of a dynamic team eph's Hospital in London, ON, you'll provide pre- and post-operative care in a 16-bay PACU and a 21-bed surgical unit. Ideal candidates will have experience in adult critical care and inpatient surgical nursing, particularly PACU and emergency settings. You will also support the Medical Emergency Response Team while delivering exceptional patient care and complex problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage post-operative care for surgical patients

• Conduct discharge planning and patient education

• Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team

• Support inpatient care with complex needs

• Engage in teaching and research activities

Requirements:

• Valid registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Experience in adult critical care and inpatient surgical nursing

• Valid A.C.L.S certification required

• Proficient in E.C.G. interpretation and IV procedures

• Commitment to safety culture and acting as supervisor
