Critical Care RN Temporary Position Ontario

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Step into a critical care role as a temporary Registered Nurse in the ICU/PCU at Chatham-Kent, Ontario. Your critical thinking and patient management skills are crucial for success in this position.

This temporary full-time position is exclusively for ONA bargaining unit employees. Candidates should possess at least two years of recent Level 111 critical care experience and current certifications in BCLS, ACLS, and venipuncture. This role spans from August 10, 2026, to February 10, 2028, and may be extended if needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver exceptional patient care in critical situations

• Manage medications and monitor patient progress

• Conduct venipuncture and assist ventilated patients

• Engage in teamwork to optimize resource utilization

• Document and communicate effectively with healthcare teams

Requirements:

• Valid Registered Nurse certificate from the College of Nurses of Ontario

• Preference for BScN graduates and BCLS certified

• ACLS certification and critical care experience required

• CNA certification in critical care preferred

• Proven problem-solving and communication skills
