Join the Emergency Department in Chatham-Kent, Ontario, as a Nurse Practitioner focused on geriatric care.
This role offers full-time status with responsibilities in both emergency and advanced nursing.
The Nurse Practitioner will be integral to the Emergency - Chatham team, requiring five years of geriatric nursing experience and two years in emergency care. You should possess a Baccalaureate in Nursing and have specialized gerontological certifications to ensure optimal elderly patient management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide emergency care tailored to geriatric patients
• Utilize advanced clinical judgment for triage and treatment
• Collaborate on multidisciplinary healthcare initiatives
• Develop and assess geriatric care programs
• Maintain excellent communication with patients and team members
Requirements:
• Active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario in the Extended Class
• At least 5 years of experience specializing in geriatric nursing
• Minimum 2 years in emergency nursing required
• Advanced skills in clinical evaluation and judgment
• Relevant certificates in gerontological nursing are a plus
