Advance your nursing career with Extendicare as a part-time Registered Nurse. This role focuses on delivering high-quality resident care and ensuring medication safety in compliance with policies.
As a Registered Nurse under the Director of Health and Wellness, you will be pivotal in enhancing residents' healthcare experiences. Responsibilities include updating care assessments, ordering medications, and supervising unregulated providers, thereby guaranteeing exceptional care standards at Extendicare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess residents’ care needs and document plans
• Administer and monitor medications safely
• Supervise nursing assignments and medication audits
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
• Respond to changes in residents’ health status
Requirements:
• Current Registered Nurse registration in the province/state
• Experience in geriatric care or long-term settings
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Proven clinical knowledge for effective delegation
• Current Vulnerable Position Screening within 6 months
