Age Care is seeking a dedicated Registered Practical Nurse to ensure high-quality nursing care for residents. This role includes collaboration with Registered Nurses, liaising with healthcare providers, and guiding Personal Support Workers. A strong nursing background in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or long-term care is essential for providing effective resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Implement Age Care policies and procedures in nursing care
• Notify physicians of any significant resident changes
• Collaborate with health team members for comprehensive care
• Provide direction and support to Personal Support Workers
• Participate effectively in shift report with the healthcare team
Requirements:
• Knowledge in geriatric and rehabilitation nursing
• Current Certificate of Competence from the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Understanding of relevant health care acts and regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to quality resident care
