Join Age Care as a Geriatric Registered Practical Nurse and make an impact on residents' lives. This role focuses on collaborative nursing care in a compassionate community.
In this position, you will work closely with a team of health professionals, ensuring that residents receive top-notch care in line with established policies. Your guidance to Personal Support Workers and collaboration with the Registered Nurse will help maintain high standards of nursing practice. Staying informed of residents' status is key as you participate in shift reports.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate on nursing policies with Registered Nurse
• Report significant changes in resident health promptly
• Work alongside health care team to meet care needs
• Direct Personal Support Workers on care matters
• Ensure effective communication during shift reports
Requirements:
• Expertise in long-term care nursing
• Familiarity with health care legislation
• Active Certificate of Competence from College
• Good standing with College of Nurses
• Understanding of relevant provincial and federal laws
