Deliver nursing care in London’s Mount Hope Float Pool using medication administration and aseptic clinical practice. Work one day shift in a job-share arrangement.
St. Joseph’s Health Care London seeks a Registered Practical Nurse for Mount Hope Centre for Long Term Care. The position supports care for elderly residents and younger physically challenged adults, with pharmacology, injections, catheter care, and G-tube maintenance. Role-related teaching and research activities are also expected through affiliations with Western University and Fanshawe College.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide care within Mount Hope’s long-term care setting
- Administer medications using pharmacology knowledge and experience
- Perform catheter injections, irrigations, and subcutaneous injections
- Provide intramuscular injections and G-tube care maintenance
- Participate in role-related teaching and research activities
- Current College of Nurses of Ontario registration
- Two years recent experience caring for specified populations
- Valid CPR certificate and recent asepsis experience
- Effective communication, organization, leadership, and teamwork skills
- Recent CPIC check with vulnerable sector screening required
