About the RoleOur client, a leading manufacturer in the metal manufacturing industry, is looking for a Quality Engineer to support quality systems, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands‑on role focused on maintaining product quality, supporting new program launches, solving manufacturing challenges, and ensuring compliance with quality management system requirements while working closely with production, engineering, customers, and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Drive continuous quality improvement by identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and supporting preventive measures.
- Monitor product, process, and quality system performance to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal standards.
- Support new product launches through APQP, PPAP, First Article Inspections (FAI), capability studies, and process validation.
- Develop and maintain PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, inspection standards, and quality documentation.
- Lead and participate in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations.
- Perform and coordinate dimensional inspections using gauges, fixtures, and precision measuring equipment.
- Oversee incoming, in‑process, and final inspections to ensure products meet engineering specifications.
- Support calibration programs and monitor quality metrics including scrap, rework, and non‑conformance trends.
- Support the maintenance and continuous improvement of the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
, including internal audits. - Analyze quality data, prepare reports, and recommend process improvements.
- Train production and quality personnel on inspection methods, quality standards, and best practices.
- Diploma or Degree (minimum 2-year program) in Quality Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering
, or a related technical discipline. - Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands‑on experience with Quality Core Tools
, including APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, SPC, and Root Cause Analysis. - Working knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical standards.
- Experience performing dimensional inspections using precision measuring equipment, gauges, and fixtures.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to work on‑site in London, ON

- ISO 9001:2015 Internal Auditor training or certification.
- Experience supporting new product launches, capability studies, and process validation.
- Experience with in metal manufacturing, aluminum casting, automotive, or industrial manufacturing environments.
