Job DescriptionWe are looking for a detail‑oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. In this role, you will perform laboratory testing, quality control analysis, and sample collection while supporting production and field operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys both laboratory work and working outdoors in a technical environment.
Job Responsibilities- Perform routine and advanced laboratory testing on raw materials and finished products.
- Conduct physical and chemical analysis, including particle size testing.
- Operate, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
- Record and maintain accurate laboratory results and documentation.
- Collect and analyze samples from production and field operations.
- Support quality control initiatives to ensure product consistency.
- Conduct field data collection using GPS equipment.
- Operate drones for site inspections and stockpile measurements (training or certification is an asset).
- Process survey and field data into reports and operational records.
- Assist with production support activities, including sampling, documentation, and inventory tracking.
- Enter production and laboratory data into company systems.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
- Follow all health, safety, environmental, and quality procedures.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Diploma or degree in Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Mining Technology, Mineral Technology, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in laboratory testing, quality control, manufacturing, or a related technical environment.
- Experience operating laboratory instruments and performing analytical testing.
- Experience with GPS equipment, field data collection, or drone operations is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP or laboratory systems is an asset.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather.
- Combination of laboratory and outdoor work.
- Exposure to dust, noise, and varying weather.
- Regular walking, standing, climbing, and lifting.
