Junior Asphalt Technician

Elevate your career as a Junior Asphalt Laboratory Technician with WSP in London, Ontario. You will assist in critical asphalt testing and quality assurance processes while gaining valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

WSP is expanding its Construction Services, Materials Engineering, and Laboratory Group. This role is perfect for a recent graduate or an individual with 1-3 years of relevant experience. You will conduct asphalt testing in compliance with industry standards, manage material handling, and support ongoing laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct asphalt laboratory testing per ASTM and MTO standards

• Generate accurate test data for engineering analysis

• Facilitate calibration and housekeeping activities

• Report potential non-conformances in quality processes

• Manage materials receiving, logging, and disposal

Requirements:

• Education in Civil Engineering Technology or related field

• Current CCIL Type B Asphalt Testing Certification or in progress

• 1-3 years of asphalt testing experience

• Familiarity with relevant laboratory testing standards

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
