Join us at Western's Environmental Sciences field station, where you will support teaching, research, and outreach initiatives. Collaborating with faculty, staff, and students, this role demands expertise in horticultural practices and a keen eye for plant health. You will also ensure adherence to safety protocols and agricultural best practices while hands-on in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage plant material and research plots effectively
• Assist with training on horticultural practices and equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on horticultural equipment
• Maintain safety and accessibility standards at the field station
• Collect and record research data accurately
Requirements:
• 2-year diploma in Agriculture, Botany, or Environmental Science
• 2+ years of horticultural or agricultural experience
• Knowledge of pest management and plant health assessment
• Ability to operate agricultural equipment safely
• Strong organizational and communication skills
