Location: Southwestern Ontario
Join the University of Waterloo as a Psychometrician leading literacy assessment development for children. This full-time role involves advanced psychometrics and statistical analysis to enhance educational outcomes.
The successful candidate will work within the Faculty of Arts’ Hart Lab on the British Columbia Literacy Screening Research Project. Key skills include item response theory and ROC curve analysis, ensuring strong statistical modeling for assessment tools. As a Psychometrician, you'll support literacy initiatives by refining screening assessments through robust psychometric practices and effective data management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead psychometric analyses for early literacy screening tool
• Advise on sampling and data collection protocols
• Develop scoring procedures and normative frameworks
• Collaborate on peer-reviewed publications and presentations
• Maintain data integrity and compliance with ethical standards
Requirements:
• PhD in quantitative psychology or related field
• 5+ years of experience in psychometrics and statistical analysis
• Proficiency in R, Mplus, or similar statistical software
• Experience with educational assessment and measurement models
• Strong communication and analytical skills
Utilize your expertise in psychometric analysis and statistical modeling to contribute to impactful literacy initiatives at the University of Waterloo.
