The University of Waterloo is seeking a Research Assistant II for Dr. Mark Servos's lab in the Department of Biology. This temporary full-time role requires expertise in analytical chemistry, particularly in wastewater analysis using LC-MS/MS. You'll participate in sample extraction, analysis, and data reporting while ensuring adherence to quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain research equipment safely

• Manage chemical inventory and safety inspections

• Collect and analyze environmental samples

• Maintain documentation and backup experimental records

• Assist in training and onboarding undergraduate students

Requirements:

• BSc in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or Biochemistry preferred

• Experience with LC-MS and data analysis tools

• Minimum one year in a research environment

• Full G driver’s license

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail
