Research Technician

Position: Research Technician at Western University
Contribute to pharmacokinetics research as a Research Technician at Western University. Employ molecular and biochemical techniques in the Department of Physiology and Pharmacology while collaborating with students and researchers.

In this pivotal role, you will support the Tirona laboratory’s focus on drug metabolism and transport. Your expertise will be crucial in performing procedures, maintaining equipment, and providing technical guidance to students and colleagues. Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct molecular and biochemical analyses following laboratory protocols

• Assist in maintenance and troubleshooting of research equipment

• Prepare and execute experiments involving cultured cells and mouse models

• Provide technical guidance to undergraduate and graduate students

• Summarize research findings and draft analytical reports

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Sciences required

• 2 years in a research-intensive laboratory environment

• Knowledge of LC-MS/MS and drug assays

• Familiarity with laboratory maintenance practices

• Excellent troubleshooting and organizational skills
