Location: Southwestern Ontario
Shape research impact at the University of Waterloo as the Researcher Visibility and Identity Lead. Oversee persistent digital identifier services to enhance scholarly communications.
This full-time position within the Libraries department focuses on optimizing and managing PID infrastructure supporting open research. You will collaborate with university-wide partners and contribute to equity and accessibility in scholarly work, fostering a community that values research integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead operations of PID infrastructure like ORCID
• Develop sustainability frameworks for PID adoption
• Create project management documentation and plans
• Ensure data quality and validation within research systems
• Evaluate effectiveness of persistent identifiers in research impact
Requirements:
• Master's degree or related experience preferred
• Familiarity with research databases and scholarly services
• Proven project management experience with multiple stakeholders
• Strong communication abilities for diverse audiences
• Capacity to manage multiple projects independently
