Archaeology Field Technician II at WSP

As part of the WSP archaeology team, you will participate in various stages of fieldwork, including Stage 2 surveys and Stage 4 excavations. This seasonal role offers a competitive hourly rate and requires at least three field seasons of archaeological experience in Ontario. You'll work independently under the guidance of Field Supervisors and contribute to the collection of detailed field notes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct archaeological fieldwork and assessments efficiently
• Connect with Field Supervisors for clarity and direction
• Assist in detailed note-taking and surveying tasks
• Provide support and mentorship to fellow field technicians
• Maintain ethical behavior and prioritize safety at all times
Requirements:
• At least three years of archaeological field experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in Archaeology or related field preferred
• Valid Ontario driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work outdoors
• Good communication skills for team collaboration
