Quantum Technology Photonics Scientist

Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join Quantum Core Inc. as a Photonics Scientist and lead the innovation of next-gen semiconductor metasurface detectors. Your expertise in optical characterization and measurement protocols will be critical for advancing quantum technologies.

In this full-time role, you will focus on characterizing single-photon detectors through cutting-edge optical and electrical setups. You will work alongside a talented team to design experiments, automate measurement processes, and optimize performance metrics. Your analytical skills will help drive enhancements in detector technologies, ensuring the highest performance standards in quantum applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain test setups for single-photon detector characterization

• Execute measurement protocols across varied conditions

• Automate instrument controls and measurement sequences

• Analyze large datasets to derive key performance metrics

• Recommend improvements for detector design and operation

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s in a related field;
PhD preferred

• 3+ years in optical test setups

• Experience with single-photon detectors

• Proficient in Python for automation

• Strong skills in data analysis and reporting
