IT Security Coordinator

Position: Permanent IT Security Coordinator Role
Location: Southwestern Ontario

Join the Lambton Kent District School Board as the Coordinator of IT Security Services, focusing on safeguarding IT systems and enhancing security measures. This is a permanent, 35 hours/week position.

In this position, report directly to the Supervisor of IT Security Services and play a pivotal role in ensuring the security of Board IT infrastructure. Responsibilities include conducting security audits, responding to incidents, and embedding security practices into design processes. You will also collaborate with internal departments and external agencies, enhancing organizational compliance and security awareness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine security audits on systems and services

• Develop comprehensive security policies and procedures

• Proactively monitor and respond to IT security threats

• Collaborate on investigations and report findings

• Provide training to elevate security awareness

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline

• CISSP certification highly desirable

• Minimum of four years of IT security experience

• Familiarity with next-gen firewalls and SASE

• Strong analytical and communication skills
