Sergeant - Emergency Response

Position: Western University Sergeant - Emergency Response
Serve as a Sergeant in Campus Safety at Western University, Ontario. Provide essential leadership and oversight for a dedicated safety team around the clock.

This role places you at the heart of safety operations, supervising both Special Constable Patrol Officers and Communications Operators. You will be the Incident Commander during critical situations after hours, acting decisively to protect the university's assets and individuals. Engage in community collaboration and ensure that safety measures are upheld across the campus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise patrol officers on a rotating schedule

• Command emergency responses and ensure safety protocols

• Foster teamwork and community safety initiatives

• Coordinate with various internal and external resources

• Uphold professional standards among your team

Requirements:

• 5 years of Special Constable or Police Officer status required

• Post-secondary education preferred with relevant certifications

• Experience in supervisory capacities within emergency services

• Proficiency in crisis management and communication

• Strong ethics and professionalism in safety management
