We are currently hiring full-time and part-time Child and Youth Workers to work a combination of days, evenings, and every second weekend across our London residential programs.

Mimak Care Agency is seeking individuals who demonstrate strong leadership, professionalism, and the ability to maintain healthy boundaries with clients. This role includes ensuring the safety and wellbeing of youth and supporting them in the areas of life skills, social skills, therapeutic programming, and community-based services including medical, personal, recreational, and educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather client information and prepare reports or case histories
  • Facilitate and implement life-skills workshops
  • Assess client strengths and developmental needs
  • Develop, coordinate, and deliver support services within the community
  • Provide suicide prevention and crisis intervention support
  • Manage and resolve conflict situations
  • Support substance-use treatment and behaviour-management plans
  • Liaise with social service agencies, schools, and healthcare providers
  • Perform housekeeping and meal preparation as needed

Education Requirements:

  • A high school diploma plus one of the following (or equivalent experience):
  • Child and Youth Care Worker (CCW/CYW/CYC) Diploma
  • Social Service Worker (SSW) Diploma
  • Community Justice Worker (CJW)
  • Police Foundations (PF)
  • Relevant experience in Social Services will also be considered.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Child Welfare Check
  • Valid drivers license
  • Medical exam
  • ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) considered an asset
