Location: St. Thomas
Lead vital housing initiatives with The Corporation of the City of St. Thomas as a Housing Services Manager. Drive strategic oversight in affordable housing programs for the St. Thomas-Elgin area.
This full-time role requires you to report to the Director of Social Services while supervising social housing operations. Your expertise will guide system-level planning, ensuring compliance and addressing community needs effectively. Collaborate with stakeholders to create impactful housing solutions for vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage housing services department activities and staff
• Develop local policies for social housing implementation
• Evaluate performance of housing providers continuously
• Foster ethical and compassionate service delivery standards
• Participate in community outreach and public engagements
Requirements:
• 4-year degree in social sciences or a related field
• 6 years in housing services, with 2 in management
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with housing legislation and best practices
• Valid class 'G' Ontario Driver’s License
