Child & Youth Support Worker Position

Location: Strathroy

Join Humana Community Services as a Child & Youth Support Worker, providing vital support in a stabilization setting. This position involves creating safe environments and implementing person-centered care plans.

This role requires a collaborative and dependable individual with a minimum of two years of relevant behavior intervention experience. You will work with diverse children and youth, focusing on their psychological and emotional growth. Effective communication skills and the ability to navigate crisis situations are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with children and youth in emergency stabilization

• Implement individualized person-centered care plans

• Maintain therapeutic relationships and a safe environment

• Utilize de-escalation skills during conflicts

• Promote equity and diversity in teamwork

Requirements:

• Diploma in Child & Youth Work or Social Service

• Two years of experience in behavior intervention

• Valid Class G Driver’s License

• Up-to-date physical health assessments

• Standard First Aid & CPR certification preferred
