Support Specialist for Deafblind Individuals

As a Casual Intervenor, you will help deafblind individuals navigate daily challenges, empowering them to lead fulfilling lives. This role requires a college diploma in a related human services field and relevant experience. You'll gain hands-on skills while enhancing clients' quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication and independence with clients

• Assist with personal hygiene and meal preparation

• Use appropriate communication strategies for client support

• Document and maintain accurate client records

• Help develop individualized programs and goals

Requirements:

• Diploma in Intervenor, DSW, or related field

• Experience with challenging behaviors and mental health

• Ability to communicate effectively in ASL or SEE

• Valid Class G license and clean driving record

• Capability to lift weights between 35 to 50 lbs
